It increases depth and intensity of colors it is applied over.Liquitex Rigid Surface Varnishes will crack on flexible surfaces such as canvas. Applicable to rigid surfaces such as wood, MasoniteTM, wall murals, furniture, decorative ceramic plates, and other rigid surfaces suitable for acrylic paint and mediums.100% acrylic polymer varnish is water soluble when wet and has good chemical and water resistance when dry. It dries to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface that is resistant to retention of dirt and resists discoloring (non-yellowing, non-fogging) due to humidity, heat and ultraviolet light.Depending upon substrate, Liquitex Rigid Surface Varnish allows moisture to pass through (breathable), while protecting acrylic color from harsh elements.Not for use over oil paint.
