| In the footsteps of the great masters, egg tempera, used by the artists of the Renaissance, imparts pure translucent color with a distinctive luminosity and matte satin finish. High quality pigment is dispersed in egg yolk, according to a formulation unchanged since 1906. In common with some of the later Renaissance exponents of the medium, Daler Rowney adds a little linseed oil for easier manipulation of the color and a more flexible paint film. Best applied to a smooth, rigid surface.Starter set contains six 22 ml. tubes of color: Titanium white, cadmium yellow, crimson alizarin, french ultramarine, viridian, and burnt sienna. |
