| Back in 1956 Alfred BOrner a toolmaker by trade developed a method to manufacture razor sharp thin blades and to bend them in such a way to make cutting onions into cubes easy work. This prototype was made of wood. Almost 50 years later the onion cutter (now made of steel) is still efficient and simple and there are now other additions to the line such as this julienne slicer.
