| The distinctive patterns that characterize these charming European ceramics are the result of a hand-painting technique known as Bunzlauer. Tiny sponges saturated with ceramic paint are hand-stamped on pre-fired pieces and some complex patterns require as many as ten types of sponges to execute. After painting the pieces are covered with a lead-free glaze and fired at over 2300 Degrees F resulting in high durability and functionality. It s no wonder this unique stoneware has a devoted following both here and abroad.Stoneware 10 1/4" W x 14" L x 2 1/4" D Hand-stamped designs Oven microwave and dishwasher safe Chip-resistant Lead-free glaze Made in Poland |
