Almost 100 years ago Mrs. Mabel Kimball Baker of Hyannis Massachusetts decided to make candles as Christmas presents for her friends. She boiled bayberries in her kitchen and lovingly made hand-dipped bayberry candles which were cherished amid her circle of friends for their fine quality and pleasant fragrance. These coveted candles became well-known on Cape Cod and soon local merchants requested their manufacture. Over 90 years later Colonial Candle of Cape Cod still adheres to a stringent standard of quality using only the finest waxes dyes and fragrances.
