Since 1850, Salty Sam's Fish Market has conducted business down on the wharf. Every morning Fisherman Jack arrives in the Scalea. He and other fishermen conveniently unload their boats on one side of the building, while Salty Sam displays their catch on the other.

The outside of the market is decorated with lobster buoys, each one distinctively colored to make it easy to tell to whom it belongs. Salty Sam also offers steamed, ready-to-eat lobster and crab, along with a scenic place to eat them on the picnic table.

He sends his customers a secret message. Hint: those nautical flags fluttering by the door are not just for show!
