Item #151865 Have you ever wondered how those wonderfully rich colors are applied to a M.I. Hummel figurine? Painting is a painstaking process which takes place in a number of careful stages. When a figurine first emerges from the kiln after the glaze has been fired on, it is known as "whiteware." The figurine now wears a thin skin of glass, and the painters have a gleaming while canvas on which to apply color. To honor the process which brings M.I. Hummel figurines to colorful life, Goebel proudly presents a new Limited Edition set - March Winds Progression Set. This piece displays a classic M.I. Hummel motif in three stages - as whiteware, with the face painted, and with decoration complete. The three pieces stand on a handsome hardwood display with a commemorative ceramic plaque. And as a special touch, the set comes with an actual Goebel paintbrush that has been used by a Goebel painter to decorate M.I. Hummel figurines. This set is absolutely unique. Nothing like it has ever been produced before in Goebel history. In fact, this is the first time that a piece of M.I. Hummel whiteware has been made available for purchase.

March Winds Progression Set is offered in an edition strictly limited to 1,000 sets worldwide.
