None is known more than Ollie Chester's family that lives in the old tree stump at the end of the lane. A Swiss cheese moon smiles down at the inhabitants of Cranberry Lane where neighbors and friends join together for a winter's night full of pre-Christmas activities. Trees are decorated for the season, voices fill the air with laughter and the lane comes alive with holiday spirit. Mama Emma finds her days filled with household chores and time spent at the mill, doing her share to keep both home and business secure. At the mill, Emma works in the kitchen developing new items for the mill to produce. A recent new cider flavor she is perfecting has a hint of mint, combined with the cranberry flavors. At home, Emma is known for her wonderful decorating flair. There is no better time to decorate than that of Christmastime. Emma believes that both the inside and outside of her home should reflect the holiday spirit. So, weeks before Christmas Eve, Emma spends time decorating the trees that surround her home. |
