Item # HL160 Cape Meares first illuminated the night sky atop a cliff overlooking Tillamook Bay on New Years Day, 1890. The hexagonal tower was only 38 feet tall and held one of the finest first-order Fresnel lenses in existence. Retired in December 1999.
