These two buildings are tied together by belt courses and giant order pilasters at each end. 99-101 East Bay Built after the Great Fire of 1740, this house was constructed at the same time as 97 East Bay by Othniel Beale. Beale was in charge of strengthening Charlestown fortifications. The house was restored in the 1930s. Rainbow Row This row of houses was originally built as merchant houses.
