Pennsylvania Dower Chest Plan

A collection of Early American furniture would not be complete without the inclusion of at least one painted project. The robust color and exuberant patterns of the flower and animal motifs are tastefully created to be most characteristic of Pennsylvania Dutch designs. These can be traced directly onto the wood from the full-size plan and are color keyed for ease of application. The chest, 18" x 40" x 24" high, has been designed to be made of solid panels of glued-up boards fastened at the corners with dovetail joints.
